Operations

Operate an installed gateway with the procedures below. Verify inference after each restart or upgrade; health checks confirm only the HTTP listener.

Before a restore or database switch, identify the active engine, preserve its data and encryption keys, and stop traffic during the maintenance window. Use Deployment for the first install.

Startup

CLI, source, and Docker start. Health, smoke test, restart, logs.

Upgrading

Backup, image or npm bump, schema migrations, rollback.

Data management

SQLite file, backups, restore, and files that skip DATA_DIR.

Postgres

Opt-in engine, compose profiles, cutover, fallback, rollback.

Security

JWT_SECRET, passwords, API_KEY_SECRET, MACHINE_ID_SALT, rate limits.

API key scoping

Restrict a key to named provider accounts. An empty account selection allows all eligible accounts.
